Board Member Selection and Responsibilities

The Radford School Board is a self-perpetuating body, meaning new members are nominated and elected from within the existing board. While the final selection is made by current board members, we welcome suggestions for potential candidates from anyone in the school community.



The Board's primary focus is on strategic planning and school policy. We set the long-term vision and overarching guidelines for the school. Day-to-day operations, including curriculum development, personnel decisions, and specific student policies, are managed by the Executive Director and the administrative team. These decisions are made within the framework of the policies established by the Board.
