The oldest private school in El Paso, Texas, Radford is an independent,
nonsectarian,
coeducational, college preparatory school that serves a diverse
and motivated student body, pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Founded in 1910
as the El Paso School for Girls, it was re-named Radford School for Girls in
1930 in honor of George and Julia Brown Radford, who purchased the school and
established its initial endowments. The school became fully coeducational in
1976 and was renamed Radford School.
Radford’s campus extends over two city blocks in a resplendent residential
neighborhood, Austin Terrace, one of the city’s most stunning historic
districts. The school’s Spanish architectural style reflects the history and
culture of its home on the US-Mexico border. Our
gated campus features open patios and secure play areas. It also houses an
impressive treasure chest of antiques and collectibles, including a small war
museum and an extensive Napoleonic collection and library— providing an
atmosphere that fosters the curiosity of young minds.
Radford’s impressive
facilities also include an indoor junior
Olympic swimming pool, playing fields. the Feuille Library, the Rogers
Gymnasium. Templin Auditorium, a computer center with Internet capabilities, and
a formal dining room. Take our online tour to see
