Dress Code
Radford students are expected to be neat, clean and dress in uniform at all times unless given permission by the administration to be out of uniform. The uniform consists of the following items.
General Attire Rules
- Hair styles must be worn in such a way as not to create a distraction.
- Shirts must be tucked in at all times while on school premises.
- Coats may only be worn with the permission of the administration.
- Clothing must be clean and pressed - no tears or holes.
Boys' Dress Code
- Dark khaki pants
- Belt (plain black or brown leather ֠no studs, holes, or designs) must be worn with all pants
- White button-down long sleeve or short sleeve shirt (Radford embroidery)
- Forest green pullover or cardigan sweater (Radford embroidery or Radford crest)
- Navy blue blazer (Radford crest)
- Dress shoes for special dress days, tennis shoes (solid black or solid white only) with non-marking soles with laces the color of the shoe. No lug soled shoes allowed.
- Socks must be worn at all times
- Shirts must be buttoned except for the collar button and the first button down and must be tucked into pants at all times while on school premises. Socks (white, black, or brown) must be worn at all times.
- Hair must be neatly cut above the collar in the back, and may not hang down over the eyes when combed forward. No pony tails. Curly hair must not be more than one inch in length when combed out. Students may not shave their heads.
- Extremes in hair color (green, blue, purple, pink, etc.)are not allowed. Belts must be worn at all times--plain brown or black (no studded belts, no designs, or holes).
- Face must be clean-shaven.
- No visible body piercing/tongue piercing or tattoos.
- Shoes must be clean and in good condition and properly laced with laces the color of the shoes.
- Clothing must be sized appropriate to the student. No tight/loose or overly baggy clothing is allowed.
Girls' Dress Code
- Black Watch plaid skirt, skort, or jumper (must be no more than three inches above the knee).
- Dark navy pants (authorized only for Pre-K -3rd Grade).
- White button-down long sleeve or short sleeve blouse (Radford embroidery)
- Forest green pullover or cardigan sweater (Radford embroidery or Radford crest)
- Navy blue blazer (Radford crest)
- Dress shoes for special dress days, tennis shoes (solid black or solid white only) with non-marking soles with laces the color of the shoes. No lug soled shoes allowed.
- Socks (white, green or navy) or tights (white, forest green, or navy) must be worn at all times

Special Dress Uniform
These uniforms will be worn on every Monday of every month from August to May (or in the event the first Monday is a holiday, the following day) or unless otherwise specified by the Executive Director. This uniform will also be worn on other specially designated days.
Boys' Dress Uniform
Dark khaki pants with a belt, white button-down dress shirt (Radford embroidery), dress shoes and socks, navy blue blazer, and a Black Watch plaid tie.
Girls' Dress Uniform
Girls: Black Watch plaid skirt, white button-down blouse (Radford embroidery), Black Watch tie, and dress flats with socks (no socklets) or tights/hose (white, forest green, or navy) and a navy blue blazer. High heels, and sandals are not permitted.
Other Notes
Parents and students are encouraged to contact the school secretary to view the school uniform samples. On special dress days, students are required to bring tennis shoes for physical education.
Any student who violates the dress code will be subject to disciplinary action. Repeat offenses may result in a one day suspension. Violations to the uniform policy will be at the discretion of the Executive Director.
